Gestational Diabetes - This form of diabetes is found only in women who are pregnant. It usually strikes 2-7% of all pregnancies. It is caused by the pancreas not being able to keep up in delivering insulin to control the glucose level. This form of diabetes will most always go away after pregnancy, but there is an increased risk of both mother and baby becoming diabetic later on in life. Therefore at the time of pregnancy, pregnant women should be taken to a doctor for test of Gestational Diabetes about 26th week of pregnancy. Thus healthcare is the prevention of all the illness or dieses.

The same conditions which result in too little exercise tend to limit the use of fresh air. An atmosphere may be unsuitable for the body for several reasons. It may contain injurious impurities; despite the Clean Air Act of 1956, the air in towns still contains toxic matter such as sulphur dioxide and lead (fro petrol). The air may be too humid, which means that it carries too much water vapor which interferes with the normal working of the sweat glands. It may fountain too little oxygen; normally the body uses up oxygen from the air and releases another gas called carbon dioxide. When a laege number of people are in a confined space the oxygen tends to become reduced and the carbon dioxide increases.
The other danger which results from overcrowding and under ventilation is the spread of germs. These are always present, but the numbers are enormously increased where people are crowded, so that there is a risk o infectious diseases abeing spread. Nearly everyone will know how a ‘cold”, brought into an office by one person, will spared until nearly all the occupants are affected.

Fresh air is highly desirable from many oint of view, most or us cannot hoose our work; but we a at least see that windows are open in the office, and in the trains of whih we travel provided draughts and objections from others are avoided!
Don’t become a fanatic, for draughts can harm, but there should be sufficient ventilation to change the room air many times daily without undue commotion. With babies and the over sixty-fives care should be taken to avoid the room temperature dropping below at least 68-70f (20-21-c). These groups’ are unable to maintain body temperatures easily and are at risk from hypothermia (body damage caused by overcooling). Any machine designed for a particular purpose requires regular use to keep it in good order the human body is similar, but unfortunately today more and more people use their bodies less and less. Transport takes them to work in the morning; they sit hunched over a desk all day; return home by are or train and collapse into an armchair by the television until bedtime. Is it surprising that under these conditions the bodies become unhealthy and a prey to the millions of germs waiting to attack? Everyone should aim at some active exercise at least once a day. The city worker could allow extra time on his journey. And walk at least part of the distance to and from work.

Advantage should be taken of week-ends and holidays to cultivate an out-of-door hobby such as swimming, open air games if fit, or brisk walking. Short jogs, provided the doctor says you are fit, can help.
